Guidelines For Selecting A Web Design Company

  1. Many companies offer a low web design rate but that is all you may get and not until you ask them about how you can edit the web site, who will show you how to edit the site, how you can get noticed on the Internet and who will perform backups, provide security and technical support will you see that the price tag for your web site is no longer a bargain. In almost all cases, their rate turns out to be a starting price. We don’t use that hook. Our starting price is our COMPLETE PACKAGE price and it is very low compared to what others offer. We will give you a fair price for what we offer and if you find others claim they will do more for you for less then go for it, but please read some of the other guidelines below before you do.
  2. Beware of the FREE web site offer from other companies.  If you do sign with one of these companies makes sure you read the “fine print” and perhaps enlist a lawyer to decipher its legal import. You will have entered into a binding contract and the unhappy road to your web design will have begun. In the end the hook use of “FREE” will have been just a word for reeling in another sucker.
  3. Large companies many times have rapid employee turnover just because the world of business is what it is today. You may start working with “Jan” and before the project is over you may be working with “Joe” or a series of other employees. At some point you will feel lost in the shuffle. What you told the original person that you worked with becomes lost and you will not have that close relationship with a web designer who knows your business and how you want the web site to work and look.  After 20 years of doing web site work I still have most of my original customers and I know what they want and how they want it presented. You won’t get that from them.
  4. We are located in the United States and no work is ever farmed out to foreign countries. None of your information is ever given to third parties. We get contacted almost everyday from companies in Asia, Africa, the Middle East and Europe that want us to farm work out to them. We have never farmed out work to any other country or to anyone else for that mater. Larger companies claim that they don’t do this but they do. I think we all know that by now.
  5. There are other guidelines that we can offer, and we will offer them to you if you need them, but for now we ask that you contact us. We don’t do “hard sell” to potential customers so feel OK about letting us know what you need.
